THE TEAM

DR. ANDRÉ LAMBRECHTS

Dr. Andre Lambrechts is the founder and owner of Africa Project Managers and Engineers (APME), bringing decades of leadership across large-scale infrastructure, property development, and complex multi-stakeholder delivery. With a strong academic foundation – including a Doctorate in Business Leadership (DBL) and a BSc in Engineering – he blends technical depth with strategic business thinking, which has become a hallmark of how APME approaches every project.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Lambrechts has held senior leadership roles at major firms including AECOM and BKS, where he led large regional teams and built high-performing project management divisions. His experience spans everything from institutional and commercial developments to housing delivery and large public-sector programmes—always with a focus on quality, governance, and execution under pressure.

What truly sets him apart is the scale and variety of projects he has delivered- from boutique hotels and mixed-use precincts to industrial facilities and major civil infrastructure. Known for his calm, hands-on leadership style and ability to align diverse teams, Dr. Lambrechts continues to guide APME with a practical, results-driven mindset that keeps clients confident from the first feasibility discussions through to final handover.

ZANDRÉ LAMBRECHTS

Zandré Lambrechts is a quantity surveyor / project manager with a sharp, practical approach to cost control and a strong track record supporting projects in both South Africa and Europe. He brings a highly detail-driven and analytical approach to construction, with a natural ability to turn complex project information into clear, workable cost and procurement decisions that protect both programme and budget.

His experience covers the full cycle of cost and contract support – measuring works on site, compiling detailed Bills of Quantities, analysing and negotiating contractor quotations, and assisting with tender documentation and contract administration. He has also worked closely with multidisciplinary teams in live project environments, contributing to progress discussions, valuations, and real-time problem solving on site.

Zandré is also actively engaged in academic research that bridges theory and industry practice. He co-authored a published study examining how security costs are accounted for in construction projects.

Beyond construction, Zandré brings a rare depth in risk awareness and operational discipline. This combination of commercial thinking, technical QS capability, and calm decision-making under pressure makes him a valuable asset in projects where accuracy, accountability, and resilience matter.

OUR TEAM AND HYBRID NETWORK

APME operates through a hybrid team structure that allows us to incorporate experienced professionals from across the industry directly into our development teams as required. Rather than relying solely on a fixed internal resource base, we engage trusted specialists, advisors, and technical contributors whose experience aligns with the specific demands of each project.

This approach enables us to structure teams around the practical realities of a development — its scale, complexity, regulatory environment, and delivery constraints — ensuring that relevant expertise is embedded from the outset. External collaborators are integrated into a unified project framework, working within clearly defined reporting lines, governance structures, and performance expectations.

By combining a core leadership structure with a broader industry network, APME maintains flexibility without compromising continuity or accountability. The result is a coordinated team environment where decision-making is informed, responsibilities are clear, and project objectives remain central throughout the lifecycle of the development.

Organising Team

APME is driven by a focused team of built-environment professionals who believe that successful development comes from disciplined planning, clear leadership, and accountable delivery. Based in the Western Cape and working across South Africa, we combine local insight with proven project management expertise to guide complex developments from concept to completion.

We don’t just manage programmes and budgets — we build trusted relationships, coordinate teams, and create clarity across every stage of a project, ensuring outcomes that endure long after handover.
